Crystal Palace, Madrid - Spain

The Palacio de Cristal or Crystal Palace is a large glass building in Madrid, Spain. It is located in the Retiro Park on the Paseo Duque de Fernan Nunez. The palace was built in 1887 to keep exotic plants from the Philippines. Initially, it is totally made out of glass and steel. Later in 1924, plastic and rubber were added to it.
